DRAKESBORO - Elbert Leslie "Buddy" Knight, 70, of Drakesboro, died Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Regional Medical Center. Mr. Knight was born December 21, 1941 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and of the General Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Knight; and brother, Albert Knight.

Survivors include his brother, Herman Knight of Drakesboro; step-daughter Mildred Maschelle Ashby of Drakesboro; and step-grandchildren Caleb Ashby and Alexx Ashby.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Allen officiating. Burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

We all knew you as "Buddy"...you will be greatly missed. Your thoughtfulness and kindness will always be remembered. Thank you for always being there for us in times of need. I will cherish and treasure the memories of your life. You were loved by many...and you kindness and humor will always be remembered.
Dan will be lost without you. You were not only his cousin but his best friend and like a brother. If it were not for you watching over Dan we may have lost him months ago. Dan loved you dearly and will miss you greatly.
