Central City – Adell Mitchell Markwell, 88, of Central City, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 4:45 AM at Heartford House in Owensboro, surrounded by her loving family. Adell was born April 1, 1928, to Gus and Hettie Catherine Mitchell. She was a homemaker. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Raymond Markwell; an infant daughter Patricia Markwell; her parents Gus and Hettie Catherine Mitchell; a brother Everett Mitchell; sisters Albertine Crunk and Margie Rager; and an infant grandchild Kelly Edwards.

She is survived by her children Linda Edwards of Bremen, Sandra (Guy) Patterson of Sacramento, Roger (Debra) Markwell of Central City, and Terry Markwell of Central City; Grandchildren - Stacy (Allen) Miller and Brian (Karia) Edwards of Bremen, Clint (Michelle) Patterson and Misty (Matt) Baggett of Sacramento, Daniel (Jessica) Markwell of Hendersonville, TN, Laura (Chase) Mills of Elizabethtown , Mallory (Dale) Welborn of Central City, and Shanna Markwell of Nashville, TN; and 11 Great-Grandchildren; sister Ruby Sallee of Central City.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial at Gish Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:00AM at the funeral home.
