CENTRAL CITY- Albert Wayne Carroll, 68, of Central City, KY passed away peacefully on March 2, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was son to Charles Ava Carroll and Margaret Powell Carroll. Mr. Carroll was born in Muhlenberg County on December 20, 1948.

Wayne was a purple heart decorated Vietnam Veteran who served his country with honor. Wayne enjoyed watching University of Kentucky basketball and entertaining friends. Wayne was a retired miner and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and nephew Brent Batson.

Wayne is survived by his two children Kenya Stump of Lexington, KY and Chad Carroll of Louisville, KY, his significant other Becky Baggett, brother Charles Carroll of Powderly, KY, sisters Regina Russow of Central City, KY, Annette Taylor and Vivian Batson of Hendersonville, TN, and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is also survived by his grandchild, Ainsley Stump, step grand-children, Cheyene Grubbs, Dylan Goff, Savannah Grubbs, Harley Baggett, Hunter Baggett, Hope Baggett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Graveside services with Military rites will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City with Rev. Kevin Reed officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust at 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Spring, KY 41076 or to Hospice of Western Kentucky at 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
