SACRAMENTO - Allen J. Miller, 75, of Sacramento, died Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 2:36AM at his home. Mr. Miller was born July 5, 1942, in Madisonville. He was an educator, serving as principal at Bremen Elementary School for 8 years, Vice Principal at Bremen High School for 8 years, Principal at Hughes-Kirk School for 8 years, and teaching at Graham High School and Sacramento High School. He was a Kentucky Colonel and member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Ava Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Davis Miller; sons Allen "John" (Terri) Miller of Sacramento, Wendell "Tony" Miller of Sacramento, and Aubrey D. "Doug" (Marquita) Miller of Bowling Green; brothers Douglas (Marquetta) Miller of Owensboro and Wendell (Kim) Miller of Sacramento; lifelong family friend Donna (Stewart) Curry of Livermore; brother-in-law Pete Davis; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 18, 2017, at 1:00PM at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. John Butler officiating, assisted by Rev. Kevin Brantley. Burial in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento. Mr. Miller will lie in state on Friday after 9:00AM at Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Baptist Health Hospice.
