BEECHMONT - Amanda "Sue" Mohon, 91, of Beechmont, made her final journey home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 13, 2019, at 1:35PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Mohon was born January 28, 1928, in Muhlenberg County. She graduated from Bevier Cleaton School in 1945 with 12 years of perfect attendance. She was of the Baptist faith. She taught school in Muhlenberg County for several years. She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Vincent in 1972; mother Maude Vincent in 1966; husband A.J. Mohon in 1966; companion Brice Silvey in 1997; brothers Gene, Elmer, and Lucky; sisters Violet, Rene, Cora, Nellie, Ann, and Irene; son Glen Mohon; daughter Jean Warford; and grandson Roger Mohon.

She is survived by her daughters, Hettie Masden of Greenville, Edwina (Eddie) Stafford of Greenville, Jackie Mohon of Beechmont, and Kathy Smith of Beechmont; 18 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 17, 2019, at 1:30PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Allen officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
