INGLESIDE, TX - Anna Jane O'Brien Rhule, 89, of Ingleside, Texas, passed away peacefully on the morning of November 8, 2018, at Coastal Palms Nursing Home in Portland, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Jane is survived by her daughters Anna Rhea Bell (James), Margaret Lucille Baguio (Calvin), and Mary Beth Rhule-Knippa (Lewis); her siblings, Doris Salmon (David), Aileen Maugherman, and Larry Neil O'Brien; grandchildren, Garrison Doreck (Nadia), Karen Bell, Brandon Doreck (Heather), Teresa Baguio, Jeffrey Baguio, and Kimberly Leftwich (Glyn); great-grandchildren, Katelynn Jongema, Jaxon Doreck, Karolynn McKinstry, Madelyn Doreck, Cannon Doreck, Kai Warnke, Audrey Doreck, Miles Warnke, and A J Leftwich; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Margaret O'Brien and step-mother Ruby Brown O'Brien, husband of 45 years, Ray Rhule originally from Rockport, Kentucky; and siblings, Johnny O'Brien, Thomas O'Brien, Billy O'Brien, Sue O'Brien Fulkerson, Wendell O'Brien, Harold O'Brien, Dale O'Brien, and Donald O'Brien.

Jane shared her abundant love equally with family, friends, and anyone whose life she touched. Born Anna Jane O'Brien on February 20, 1929, to parents, Clarence Edward O'Brien and Margaret Jane Hart O'Brien in Leitchfield, Kentucky, she assumed a motherly role at an early age to her younger siblings after their mother passed away suddenly. She graduated from Rockport, KY High School, married Ray Rhule, and in 1953 they moved to Texas.

Jane lovingly raised her three daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren until her very last breath. Her nurturing soul poured into her cooking, ability to love unconditionally, and an infinite shoulder to lean on to anyone who needed it. You could find Jane baking, getting her hair done or mowing her lawn until Thanksgiving Day 2017 when she suffered a life-altering stroke. She held on with love, courage, and strength until her death at the age of 89.

A celebration of her life will be held during visitation at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, Kentucky on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00PM. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 10:00AM at the funeral home, with Bro. Wayne Stewart officiating. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City immediately following. Our thanks to the staff at Coastal Palms for taking such tender care of our mom. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
