CENTRAL CITY - Annie Cates, 95, of Central City, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 7:55PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Cates was born April 25, 1922, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bessie Jenkins; husband Raymond Cates; six brothers; and one sister.

She is survived by her sons, Lynn (Cindy) Cates of Central City, Jackie Cates of Warsaw, and Mike (Regina) Cates of Central City; daughter Becky (Richard) Holtzclaw of Central City; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Needa Jenkins of Central City.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Gideons International or Calvary Baptist Church.
