SELLERSBURG, IN - Brenda Lacefield Staples Bullen, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at age 74. She is survived by her devoted sons Bryson Ray Staples and John Alan Staples (wife Kim) who were the light of her life, her granddaughter Natasia Smith (husband Zachary), and her three great grandbabies-Addison, Floyd and Tinsley- whom she adored. She is also survived by her loving sisters Melanie Weyer, Anita Slaughter, and Karen Sutton. She was preceded in death by her brother Doug Lacefield and husband James Bullen.

Brenda was a longtime resident of Southern Indiana but her heart remained in Central City, Kentucky where she will be laid to rest next to the great love of her life and father of her two children, Bobby Ray Staples.

Brenda will be remembered by her family and friends as a woman of great strength and character. Even through adversity she demonstrated these qualities. She was a woman who was admired, respected and revered by everyone who knew her. Her great beauty and compassionate soul will live on in our memory.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2018, after 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2:00PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
