Central City- Carl Ray Hopgood, 81 of Central City died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Hopgood was born May 27, 1933 in Muhlenberg County. He was a truck driver with Perry Hardwood and a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Graham. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, grandson Joseph Oliver and parents John and Mildred Hobgood.

Survivors include two sons Scott (Jessica) Hobgood of Louisville, Michael(Debra) Hobgood of Sacramento. Four daughters Debra (Richard) Browning, Kathy (John) Bivins of Central City, Teresa (Tim) Oliver of Drakesboro and Karen (Smitty) Smith of Graham, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great-Grandchildren, 1 brother John (Sue) Hobgood of Bremen and two sisters Barbara Settle of Bremen and Nadia (Bengy) Key of Bremen.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Mar 10, 2015 at 1:30 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Richard Browning and Bro. Jerry Eades officiating . Visitation will be Monday, March 9th at 5 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bremen. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
