GREENVILLE - Carl Jeffrey Pentecost, 62, of Greenville, died Thursday, December 22, 2016, at 3:12PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Pentecost was born December 1, 1954, in Chicago, IL. He was a boilermaker and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Joyce Pentecost; and brothers Timmy Pentecost and Chris Pentecost.

He is survived by his son, John Christian Smith of Virginia; grandchild Aubury Smith; brother Patrick (Misty) Pentecost of Central City; sisters Tammy (Brent) Miller of Greenville and Mary (Andy) Hawes of Bremen; aunt Glenda Cox of Greenville; uncle Rev. John (Carolyn) Culbertson of Greenville; nieces and nephews Jodi, Trey, Andre, Sarah, Jansyn, and Valorie; great-nephew and great-niece Axton and Madilyn; many cousins and friends; and beloved dog, Pondwater.

Services will be Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 12:00 noon at Woodson Baptist Church in Powderly, with Rev. John Culbertson officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday after 11:00AM at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
