CENTRAL CITY - Charles Ray Rule, 89, of Central City, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 2:20AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Rule was born April 4, 1925 in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired machinist with TVA and a member of Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Goldrick and Madoline Rule.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Lucille Goff Rule; daughter Betty J. Rule of Central City; son David C. (Vanessa) Rule of Pembroke; three granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Jean Blakeley of Louisville and Nora Doss of Central City.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00AM at Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial in Nelson Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Mr. Rule will lie in state at Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church on Thursday after 9:00AM.
