CENTRAL CITY – Charles Wayne Franklin, 74, of Central City, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 9:54PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Franklin was born April 8, 1941, in Hopkins County. He was an auctioneer and U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church, where he served as deacon and maintenance person. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Franklin; brother Wesley Franklin; and father Olif Franklin.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Brenda Hopgood Franklin; daughter Ronda (Deron) Rex of Northern Kentucky; grandchild Aaron (Jennifer) Franklin of Caneyville; mother Dorothy Franklin of Greenville; brothers Anthony (Barbara) Franklin of Greenville, Timmy (Claudia) Franklin of Bremen, and David (Patty) Franklin of Greenville; sister Regina (Kenney) Crick of Greenville; sister-in-law Patsy Franklin of Greenville; and daughter-in-law Bonnie Loney of Drakesboro.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00AM at Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church, with Bro. Larry Lile officiating, assisted by Bro. Tommy Kidd. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
