CENTRAL CITY - Charles William "Billy" O'Brien, 78, of Central City, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at St. Thomas in Nashville Mr. O'Brien was born June 20, 1935 in Grayson County. He was of the Catholic faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley O'Brien; Parents, Clarence and Margaret O'Brien; and Step Mother, Ruby O'Brien.

Survivors include his daughter Dawn (Doug) Mattern of North Dakota; grandchildren Jacob and Austin; Step Grandson Travis Goff; Step Great Granddaughter Aubree Goff; sisters Jane Rhule of Ingleside, TX, Sue Fulkerson of Nelson Creek, Doris Salmon of Louisville, and Aileen Maugherman of Ellenton, FL; brothers Johnny O'Brien of Hartford, Harold O'Brien of Rockport, Donald O'Brien of Rockport, and Larry Neil O'Brien of Cosby, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Recie Young officiating. Burial will be in Echols Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
