DUNMOR - Darris Fay Griffin, 79, of Dunmor, died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at 9:35PM at his home. Mr. Griffin was born March 28, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. He was a coal miner and member of Nelson Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Nola Griffin; brothers Darrell, Jesse, and Leonard Griffin; and sisters Betty Reed and Shirley Avery.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Maxine McElwain Griffin; children Maria Smith of Central City, Linda (Mike) Fox of Elizabethtown, Vicki (David) Arvin of Bremen, Joseph Wayne (Jamey) Griffin of Lavergne, TN, and Kelly Jakob of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren Kristoffer, Nathan, Misty, Heather, Elizabeth, Amy, Jodie, Stephanie, Chelsea, Eric, Scott, and Leslie; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers Wendell Griffin of Central City and Larry Griffin of Owensboro; and sister Joann Beasley of Greenville.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Carlos Saddler officiating, assisted by Rev. Paul Uzzle. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
