CENTRAL CITY - David Lee Gardner, 49, of Central City, died Sunday, August 7, 2016, at 6:03AM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospiital. Mr. Gardner was born June 8, 1967, in Chicago, IL. He was a cook at Arby's Restaurant in Central City, and was a member of Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Rachel Mechel Gardner and Haley Faithann Gardner.

He is survived by his companion, Amy Gardner of Central City; sons Dakota Gardner, Zackery Gardner, Dawson Gardner, and Damien Gardner, all of Central City; grandchildren Declan Bratcher and Braxton Gardner; mother and step-father Wilma (Tommy) Austin of Drakesboro; brother Jimmy Gardner of Drakesboro; and sisters Barbara Mayes of Mobile, AL, Rita Dukes of Russellville, Diana (James) Baskerville of Drakesboro, Bonnie Baskerville, and Jeanette Turner of Pennsylvania.

Services will be Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 1:00PM at Richardson Chapel General Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Lile officiating. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to David Gardner Memorial Fund, c/o Tucker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 548, Central City, KY 42330.
