GREENVILLE - Donald L. Evitts, 83, of Greenville, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. Mr. Evitts was born July 31, 1932, in Muhlenberg County. He was a truck driver with Muhlenberg Co. Sanitation Dept., and a member of Duvall's Chapel General Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Annie; brothers Brennan, Bernard, G.T., and infant William; and sisters Edna Lee and Imogene.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Welborn Evitts; sons Mike (the late Diane) Evitts of Greenville, Danny (Margie) Evitts of Greenville, Kevin (Sonya) Evitts of Evansville, IN, and Scotty (Naomi) Evitts of Greenville; grandchildren Alan (Jessica) Evitts, TeAnnah Melton, Beth (Brian) Martin, Josh Evitts, Rachel (Chad) Moore, and Rebekah (Richard) Putman; great-grandchildren Daniel, Dillan, Dustin, Devin, Obadiah, Addie, Ethan, David, Josie, Chloee, Zoee, and Tyler; brothers Rev. Walter (Margaret) Evitts and Jack (Bobbie Carol) Evitts, both of Greenville; and sisters Anna Jo (Paul) Chappell of Greenville and Mildred Cox of Chicago, IL.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 18, 2015, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Ken Miller officiating, assisted by Rev. Walter Evitts and Rev. Jeff Tomes. Burial in Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
