BELTON - Freddie Darrell McElvain, 69, of Belton, died Monday, February 13, 2017, at 9:30PM at his home, after a long, hard battle with cancer. Mr. McElvain was born January 4, 1948, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his father, Pete McLevain; brothers June McElvain, Puddle Duck McLevain, Bill McLevain, Jimmy McLevain, and Roger McLevain; and sister Mary Ewings.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Perkins McElvain; son Bill McElvain of Drakesboro; daughter Laura (Neil Martin) McElvain of Belton; grandchildren Shaun McElvain, Kasey (Sarah) McElvain, Dalton McElvain, and Simon Martin; three great-grandchildren; his dog, Miloh; and sisters Betty Jo Smith, Patsy Stewart, Brenda (William) Mayes, Janie Thomas, Connie (Terry) Arnold, and Becky McLevain.
