CENTRAL CITY - Gathiel Dean Baker, 93, of Central City, died Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Sunny Hills Assisted Living in Homestead, Florida. Mr. Baker was born August 26, 1925, in Muhlenberg County. He was a businessman, and co-owner of Tri City Auto Parts. He was a member of Church of Christ, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WW II. He also loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Billee Baker; son Layne Baker; and parents Herbert and Elizabeth Baker.

He is survived by his sons, Gaylan (Sandra) Baker of Central City and Brandon (Suzan) Baker of Marathon, FL; grandchildren Deana Kirtley, Shelly Tucker, Kevin Baker, Blair Baker, and Brittany Baker; great-grandchildren Madison Dukes, Ireland Tucker, and Morgan Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 28, 2019, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
