GREENVILLE - Gayla Ann Woodall Thomasson, 69, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 8:28PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Thomasson was born March 3, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of New Cypress Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for 33 years as an LPN at Versnick Nursing Home in Madisonville until she retired. She loved taking care of others and did up until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Harold Woodall Sr. and Margolda Woodall; brother Louis Harold Woodall II.; and step-son Donald Scott Thomasson.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jerry D. Thomasson; step-daughter Cindy (Bobby) Laster of Greenville; brother Rennie (Lois Ann) Woodall of Bremen; sisters Wanda (Charlie) Durham of Greenville, Marion (Tommy) Lile of Bremen, and Shelia (Jimmy) Justice of Madisonville; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 4, 2017, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Roy Finley officiating, assisted by Matthew Lile. Burial in New Harmony Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at
