GREENVILLE- Gene Carlton Butler 77, of Greenville died Saturday February 9, 2019. Gene was born January 20, 1942 in Greenville and was a retired coal miner, and a member of Hortons Chapel Church Of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Flora Butler, and his brother Randel Butler.

He is survived by his wife Melba Latham Butler, daughter, LeAnn(Kevin)Wells, grandchildren, Sheena(Barry)Groves and Ethan(Ashley)Wells, great-grandchildren Hayden Groves, Kamryn Groves and Ava Wells, brother, Russell(Jane)Butler and his sister, Polly(Taffy)Kimmel.

Funeral Services will be Tuesday February 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Mr. Garry Hill officiating and assisted by Mr. Johnny Kelton. Burial will be in Greenbrier School House Cemetery in Greenville. Visitation will be Tuesday after 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at
