SACRAMENTO - Hazel Pearl Foster Harper, 86, of Sacramento, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 7:13PM at Riverside Care and Rehab in Calhoun. Mrs. Harper was born August 3, 1931, in Sacramento to Gertrude and Almon Foster. She married Joe Harper on May 17, 1946. She was a licensed beautician and retired from McLean County Schools as a cook. She dearly loved the students and was always concerned for their well-being. She was a member of Sacramento Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Harper in February 2003; and her brothers, V.C. Lynn, Sherman Lynn, and Harry Mac Foster.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her three children, Barbara (Larry) Sharp of Morganfield, Karen (Eddie) Arnold of Owensboro, and Steve (Joy) Harper of White Plains; four grandsons; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at 12:00 noon at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento, with Bro. Wendell Wood officiating. Burial in Shavers Cemetery in Bremen.
