DUNMOR - James E. Gardner, 90, of Dunmor, died Monday, September 9, 2019, at 5:40AM at his home. Mr. Gardner was born December 26, 1928, in Penrod. He was a retired farmer and member of New Hebron Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen P. Gardner.

He is survived by his sons, Jimmy (Marilyn) Gardner of Dunmor, Scotty (Teresa) Gardner of Browder, Martty (Helen) Gardner of Trenton, and Bobby (April) Gardner of Auburn; daughters Peggy Gardner of Indianapolis, IN and Pamella Dimmick of North Augusta, SC; sister Doris Fuston of Orlando, TN; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Charlie Jones officiating. Burial in Gardner Farm Family Cemetery in Dunmor. Visitation will be Thursday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Cancer Society.
