GREENVILLE - James Leslie McDonald, 53, of Greenville, died Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at 1:00AM at his home. Mr. McDonald was born July 31, 1966, in Greenville. He worked at Pride Johnson Heating and Cooling, and was of the Baptist faith. He served the Greenville Fire Dept. for 25 years. He loved spending time with his family and his service dog, Jake. He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Legon McDonald; grandparents Mareen and R.T. Mercer and Elbert and Bessie McDonald; and father-in-law Jimmy Asher.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Asher McDonald; son Matthew (Alesha) McDonald of Beechmont; mother Wilda Faye McDonald of Greenville; brother John Martin (Laura) McDonald of Hopkinsville; grandchildren Ethan, Madison, Kaylea, and Taylor Grace; beloved service dog, Jake; and nieces and nephews Connor, Caelan, and Reilly.

Services will be Friday, September 6, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Larry Shadowen officiating. Visitation will be Friday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
