GREENVILLE - James Rondal Propes, Jr., 66, of Greenville, died Thursday, October 2, 2014. Mr. Propes was born August 21, 1948, in Louisville. He was retired from Reynolds Metal and Alcoa Aluminum, and was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was a member of Pond River Masonic Lodge, Madeline Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, York Rite, and was a Kentucky Colonel.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Nancy Kerr Propes of Greenville; son Donald Propes of Louisville; daughter Megan (Brian) Chaney of Greenville; grandchild Lillian Chaney of Greenville; mother Helen Propes of Greenville; and brother Thomas R. Propes of Martin, TN.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 9:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014, at 2:00PM at Louisvllle Memorial Gardens Chapel on Dixie Highway, with Don Fleming officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Louisville. Masonic services will be held on Monday at 7:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Madeline Chapter #64 O.E.S., c/o Jeanette Webb, 112 Hopkinsville St., Greenville, KY 42345.
