GREENVILLE - Jimmy Carrol Staples, 75, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 3:20PM at Heartford House. Mr. Staples was born November 13, 1939, in Butler County. He was a retired truck driver and also worked at Muhlenberg Co. Fiscal Court Sanitation Dept. in Belton. He was a member of Belton Pentecostal Church and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucky and Thelma Staples; brothers Mac Staples and Ernest Staples; sister Sue Piper; and son-in-law Morris A. Tingley.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Steele Staples; son James C. Staples (Beth) of Owensboro; daughters Janet Tingley (Morris Allen, deceased) of Graham, Joyce Piper (Darrick) of Beechmont, and Jeanie Bishop-Amos (Ersley) of Morgantown; grandchildren Jennifer, Allen, Eric, Josalyn, Jordan, Mikalah, Zachariah, Kiah, and Jacob; great-grandchildren Jaylee, Jaxton, Trinity, Kylee, Kenzie, and Keagon; brother Ron Staples of Utica; sisters Lois Toomey of Huntsville, Dorothy Piper of Beechmont, and Shirley Carver of Belton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, February 1, 2015, at 11:00AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Mike Foster Sr. officiating, assisted by Bro. Mike Foster Jr. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Butler County. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
