GREENVILLE- John Henry Tippett, 85, of Hammond, IN, died at his residence on March 9, 2019. Mr. Tippett was born in Hammond, IN on April 18, 1933. He was a construction engineer for TVA and a Christian. Mr. Tippett was a caring and dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He always enjoyed learning new things and then passing those things onto others. He enjoyed taking the grandkids on adventures and traveling with his wife Wanda. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda; granddaughter, Brandi Vaughn; daughter in law, Debbie Tippett.

Survivors include his son, John Michael Tippett of Greenville; daughter, Sandra L. (Harry) McGee of Hopkinsville; three grandchildren, Jason Tippett, Jeremiah (Ashley) Tippett, Quincey McGee; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, Douglas Tracy of Portage, IN.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 6:30PM Tucker Funeral Home in Central city. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Thursday, March 14, 2019 after 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
