CENTRAL CITY - John S. Chaney, 53, of Central City, died Monday, December 10, 2018, at 11:47AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. Chaney was born June 24, 1965, in Greenville. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to read, Kentucky basketball, and the San Francisco 49ers. He was a star gazer and loved his family more than anything else. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Chaney; and his father, Lewis Chaney Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Murphy; sons Brad (Shelby) Chaney and Aaron Gonzalez; sisters Sherrie (Steve) Stirsman, Cathy (Jhonny) Mallory, and Mary Beth (Jason) Landrum; brother Lewis Chaney, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 13, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Leroy Rearden officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to John S. Chaney Memorial Fund, c/o Tucker Funeral Home, P.O.
