BELTON- Joseph H. Shalosky died Tuesday, January 21 at the University of Louisville Hospital after a lengthy illness. Joe was born in Coshocton, Ohio on March 23, 1951 to Leo and Mary Shalosky (deceased). He graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1969 and went on to Kent State University.

He was formerly married to Tanda Shalosky and had three children, Joe (Penny) Shalosky of Fort Bragg, NC, Brian Shalosky of Harned, KY, and Miki (Mike) Durall of Greenville, KY. He had five Grandsons and three Granddaughters. Joe was a underground coal miner for over thirty years. He had six living siblings: Dave (Imogene) Shalosky, Jerry (Darlene) Shalosky, Kenny (Lori) Shalosky, Jeanie (Sam) Billings, Alan (Deb) Shalosky, Claire (Cliff) Cordell. He was preceded in death by brothers, John and Mike Shalosky and Sister Rose Dole.

Memorial Service/Visitation will be held at Tucker Funeral Home in Beechmont, KY on Friday, January 24, 2014 from 5-8 PM. It was Joe's decision to be cremated. The family will privately disperse of Joe's remains according to his wishes. The family has asked in lieu of flowers that expressions of sympathy be made to Aarons Mission Outreach in Joe's Honor. Joe was lifelong friends with the founders of the Mission and actively supported their efforts in Honduras.
