CENTRAL CITY - Joseph Lynn Grubbs, 50, of Central City, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at 4:45PM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mr. Grubbs was born November 2, 1967, in Muhlenberg County. He was a saw mill laborer, and a member of Riverside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Grubbs; and grandmother Pauline "Nanny" Vincent.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Hall Grubbs; sons Wesley Grubbs of Napier, FL, Allen (Calah) Grubbs of Drakesboro, Brandon Grubbs of Morgantown, Joseph S. Grubbs of Drakesboro, and Joshua Hall of Browder; grandchildren Harper Griffin and Peyton Grubbs; parents Leonard and Ruth Ann Grubbs of Drakesboro; grandmother Ovada Jean Smith of Owensboro; sisters Sherry Grubbs of Beechmont and Kelly Bivens of Drakesboro; nephew Blayze Vaught of Drakesboro; and niece Jessica (Charles) Dockery of Belton.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 11:00AM at Riverside Baptist Church in Drakesboro, with Rev. Todd Cartwright officiating, assisted by Rev. Greg Brooks. Burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Grubbs will lie in state at Riverside Baptist Church on Wednesday after 9:00AM.
