RUSSELLVILLE - Katy S. Greenwood, 68, of Russellville, died Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:18AM at The Medical Center in Bowling Green. Mrs. Greenwood was born March 27, 1946. She was an insurance agent at Lawton Insurance, retiring in 2004. She worked at Lawton Insurance in various positions for 39 years. She was a member of Myers Chapel Methodist Church. She loved to work in her garden, was a wonderful cook, and a loving grandmother to Breanna Gayle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Hazel Skipworth; and sister Patsy Skipworth.

Survivors include her husband, Gayle Greenwood; brother Billy (Teri) Skipworth of Russellville; sister Gayla (Dannie) Luckett of Dunmor; step-son Mitch (Andrea) Greenwood of Russellville; granddaughter Breanna Gayle Greenwood; nieces and nephews, Brandon Skipworth, Dustin Skipworth, Amy Hunter, and Jennifer Porter; and aunt and uncle, Kenneth and Juanita Johnson of Russellville.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 2:00PM at Leigh's Chapel General Baptist Church, with Rev. Brent Waltrip officiating, assisted by Rev. John Galyen. Burial in Leigh's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Mrs. Greenwood will lie in state at Leigh's Chapel General Baptist Church after 1:00PM on Sunday.
