CENTRAL CITY - Kerry Lee Turpin, 66, of Central City, died Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at 11:22AM at her home. Mrs. Turpin was born September 30, 1951, in Muhlenberg County to the late Harold Lloyd Anderson and the late Pat McKnight. She retired from the Fayette County School System. She was a special education teacher and was the head of the Special Education department at Bryant Station High School. She loved life and was a Kentucky Wildcat fan. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Turpin; sister Sondra Anderson; and parents and grandparents.

She is survived by her son, Donald Ray Soper, Jr. of Lexington; grandchildren Skylar LeAnn, Allen Harrison, and Hailey Elizabeth, all of Lexington; brother Harold Gene (Teresa Ross) Anderson, of Alabama; nephew Kevin (Brook) Anderson of Alabama; niece Ella Anderson of Alabama; and a very special aunt, Billie "Sug" Anderson, who she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be Friday, March 23, 2018, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at
