BELTON - Lueverna Sue Piper, 72, of Belton, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 2:00 AM at her residence. Mrs. Piper was born April 11, 1942 in Muhlenberg County. She worked in the Bakery at Wal-Mart and was a member of Mercer Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucky and Thelma Staples.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Lee Piper of Belton; Son, Dewayne (Sharon) Piper of Greenville, KY; Daughter, Phyllis (Marty) Dortch of Browder, Ky; Grandchildren, Nathan (Joy) Dortch of Powerly, Ky; Scott Dortch of Browder, Ky and James Fergusan of Indiana; Great-Grandchildren, Colton Dortch, Bryson Dortch, Shelby Dortch, Rayleigh Dortch and Emma Dortch; Brothers and Sisters, Jimmy Staples of Greenville, Ky, Rondal Staples of Owensboro, Ky, Lois Toomey of Butler County, Ky, Dorothy Piper of Beech Creek, Ky and Shirley Carver of Belton, Ky.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home in Beechmont with Bro.James Branscum officiating. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in Butler County.
