POWDERLY - Margaret "Tennie" Hibbs, of Powderly, died Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at 10:25AM at Kindred Health and Rehabilitation in Greenville. Mrs. Hibbs was born in Muhlenberg County on December 16, 1923, to the late Otis Slaton Jernigan and Grace Lacefield Jernigan. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Billy" Hibbs; brother Otis "Buck" Jernigan; and sister Mary Greenwood.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Marshall (Kay) Hibbs of Greenville; daughter Becky (Clyde) Smith of Greenville; grandchildren Shawna (Jimmy) Rawlins, Monica (Kavin) Gunterman, Corey Marshall (Heather) Hibbs, and Quentia (Curtis) Alfred; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 15, 2016, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Joe Chambers officiating, assisted by Rev. John Culbertson. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home.
