GREENVILLE – Marian June Richey, 84, of Greenville, went to meet her heavenly father on her 84th birthday on May 28, 2020, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Mrs. Richey was born May 28, 1936, in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of Woodson Baptist Church. She worked at various retail stores, including Wal Mart and Rural King. She loved her husband of 65 years, Gaithel. She loved UK basketball and flowers, and enjoyed shopping at thrift stores and any gathering with her family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Cobb; father Woodrow Cobb; and son Norman Richey.

She is survived by her husband, Gaithel Richey; daughter Linda Gilchrest and Toni (Ken) Walton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and sisters Dale Harper and Gale Hardison.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 30, 2020, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Scott Casebier officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. In compliance with health and public safety directives, capacity will be limited in accordance with state guidelines.
