GREENVILLE - Marianne Berry Meister, 90, of Greenville, died Monday, March 6, 2017, at 6:12PM at Carmel Home in Owensboro. Mrs. Meister was born October 7, 1926, in Freelandville, IN. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Altar Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, painting, traveling, and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carrol J. Meister; parents Dwight and Amanda Pepmeir Berry; and infant son Mark Meister.

She is survived by her sons, Dr. Fred and Helen Meister of Owensboro, John and Rose Meister of Owensboro, Chris and Lori Meister of Greenville, and Philip Meister of Greenville; grandchildren Molly (Mark) Roebker, Eric (Caroline) Meister, D. Joseph (Ashley) Meister, Katie (Brian) Vicars, Toby Meister (Dr. Katie Meister), Jennifer (Randy) Scott, Josh (Emily) Meister, Dr. David (Ashley) Meister, Adam Meister, and Dominic (Cherish) Meister; great-grandchildren Libby, Tommy, Mary Kate, John Mark, Katherine, John William, Henry, Genevieve, Anna, Andrew, Stephen, Owen, Charlie, Ben, Clara, and Mason; and sisters Judy (Joe) Kirchoff of Freelandville, IN and Carolyn Horst of Indianapolis, IN.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 10:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Central City, with Father Ken Mikulcik officiating. Burial in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Utica. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 8-9:30AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Prayers will be said Friday at 5:00PM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church Food Pantry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
