HANSON - Marjorie Skipworth Hamby, 93, of Hanson, died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 9:32AM at Baptist Health in Madisonville. Mrs. Hamby was born February 17, 1920 in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ross and Cordelia Skipworth; husband, Charles Hamby; sons Gene Hamby and Jimmy Hamby; infant daughter Margaret Hamby; granddaughter Tracy White; and great-great-grandson Jase Yeager.

Survivors include her daughters, June (Charlie) Vincent of Hanson, Teresa Hamby of Greenville, and Amy (Aaron) Cobb of Dunmor; grandchildren Ginger (Ron) Walker of Russellville, Renee Fowler of Russellville, Jamie (Tabetha) Francis of Madisonville, Stacy (Neal) Belcher of Russellville, Mara Cobb of Dunmor, Kassidy Cobb of Dunmor, and Delaney Cobb of Dunmor; seven great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Frame of Collinsville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 2:00PM at Skipworth Cemetery in Rosewood, with Rev. Tony Blake officiating. Burial in Skipworth Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
