WHITE PLAINS – Ola Jean Merrell, 77, of White Plains, died Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at 12:05AM at Creekwood Place Nursing Home in Russellville. Mrs. Merrell was born May 7, 1943, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Merrell.

She is survived by her daughter, Johnetta (Rick) McNary; son John Bradford Merrell; grandchildren Johnathon Groves, Cody Merrell, and Terry McNary; several great-grandchildren; brothers Norman Williams, Thomas Jarvis, Paul Jarvis, Ed Williams, and W.C. Williams; sisters Regina Rolley, Sarah Jarvis, Reila Dukes, and Paula Jarvis; and companion Hubert Groves.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Paul Cundiff officiating. Burial in Oglesby Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 9:00AM at the funeral home. Family and friends are asked to wear a face covering, in accordance with the governor's mandate.
