CENTRAL CITY - Patricia Mae Wilson Spicer, 86, of Central City, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016, at 4:11AM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born April 11, 1930, in Muhlenberg County in the Luzerne community, she was the daughter of Betty Putman Earle and Clifford Wilson. She was the proud wife of a union miner, a devoted Christian, and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Patricia's employement history included Stewart's IGA and J & M Market, both located in Central City. And her favorite "job" by far was being "Nanny Spicer". She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Spicer; daughter Peggy Spicer Durall; her parents; and siblings Marvin Wilson, Carlos Wilson, Catherine Wilson Spencer, Evelyn Wilson Brand, and Everett Wilson.

Patricia is survived by her son, Murray P. (Ellen) Spicer of Owensboro; grandchildren Eddie Durall and Tracy (Wayne) Lewis of Mt. Washington; Monica Spicer (Chris) Dockery of Edwardsville, IL; Rebecca Durall of Central City; Jason (Erin) Spicer of Central City, and Sara Durall Brown of Greenville; great-grandchildren Kelsey (Jeffrey) Simpson of Greenville, Paige (John) Ray of Junction City, KS, Heidi Woods of Mt. Washington, Preston Dockery, Harrison Dockery, and Anderson Dockery, all of Edwardsville; Jett Spicer of Central City, and Hollie Gish Noffsinger of Central City; great-great-grandchild Isabella Simpson of Greenville; nieces and nephews; and neighbors and friends at Tanglewood Place.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 9, 2016, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Steven Hibbs officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Muhlenberg County Humane Society.
