CLIFTY - Rena Aileen Beatty, 81, of Clifty, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 7:09PM at her home. Mrs. Beatty was born April 14, 1931 in Ohio County. She enjoyed working in the garden, loved horses and her grandchildren, was a quilt maker, and most of all enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Vonnie Burden; daughter Shirley Strader; sons Rethal Phelps and Roy Phelps; second husband Roy Beatty; first husband Hub Phelps; and third husband Shirley Duvall.

Survivors include her sons, Rondall (Susan) Beatty of Moorman, Lindal (Stacy) Beatty of Clifty, James (Aleta) Phelps of Mt. Carmel, IL, Jerry Phelps of Illinois, and Leroy Beatty of Illinois; daughers Carolyn Kennedy of Albion, IL, Janie Payne of Princeton, IN, Shelia Stogner of Whitesville, and Sue (David) Tarrance of Caneyville; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Jerry Sweeney officiating. Burial in Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at
