GREENVILLE - Robert Jonathan Brooks (Robby Jon), age 61, formerly of Greenville, died in Huntsville, Alabama on Sunday, October 6, 2019. He was a member of Local 40 Boilermakers Union and employed at Shawnee Steam Plant in Paducah and Paradise Steam Plant in Muhlenberg County. He worked as Site Manager for Day & Zimmerman, and retired as Vice President of Eastern Operations for Synterprise in Wisconsin.

Rob is survived by his wife, Lori Edwards Brooks; his son, Jon Christopher Brooks (Bethaney); two grandchildren, Lillian Grace and Robert Graham Brooks; two step sons, Kenan Hunter and Devin Hunter; one step grandson, Clint Jackson Hunter; one sister, Cindy Brooks Ragland (Bob); two nieces, Christina McCalister Maurer (Beau) and Laura McCalister Goodwin (Todd); two great nephews, Brooks Lundahl Goodwin and Baylor Griffith Maurer; and one great niece, Caroline Brooks Maurer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Brooks and Wanda Toll Brooks.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Roger Heltsley officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Boilermaker rites will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
