CENTRAL CITY- Robert Kirby Tapp, 66, of Central City died Friday, March 25, 2016 at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Tapp was born in Hopkins County on August 16, 1949. He was married on February 19, 1972 to his wife Carolyn McCoy Tapp. Mr. Tapp was a member of the First Christian Church, a graduate of the University of Evansville, a 1967 graduate of Central City High School, and retired from TVA. Following his retirement, he worked as an environmental professional for Ensafe and SMR. Mr. Tapp was a devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather who enjoyed being with his family more than anything. He was an avid golfer and a dedicated elder at First Christian Church of Central City. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Virgil Tapp; mother, Stella Ausenbaugh Tapp; brother, Kenneth Gary Tapp; grandsons, Paxton and Preston Morris.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Carolyn McCoy Tapp; daughters, Anissa (Mike) Newkirk of Louisville, Heather (Terry) Nunley of Central City, Tanya (Ryan) Morris of Central City; brothers, Larry (Keata) Tapp of Cincinatti, Jesse Myron (Barbara) Tapp of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Cain Morris, Brenna Morris, Eli Morris, Karlie Morris, Hope Morris, Jeremiah Morris, Dalton Nunley, Reagan Nunley, Anniston Nunley, Jack Newkirk, and Lily Grace Newkirk; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Scott Heltsley officiating and Bro. Ryan Morris assisting. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016 at 5:00 PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City.
