DRAKESBORO - Ronald "Peewee" Reed, 73, of Drakesboro, died Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Reed was born May 25, 1946, in Madisonville. He was of the Christian faith. He worked for several years for Melvin Horn Construction and Country Boy Truck Parts. He loved to fish and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid couch warmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Margie Reed; sister Perline Reed; and brothers Virgil Reed and Donald Reed.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carolyn Louise Rife Reed of Drakesboro; brother Arthur (Margo) Reed of Madisonville; sons Terry (Carla) Reed of Beechmont, Michael (Shannon) Lismon of Beechmont, and Patrick (Valentina) Lismon of California; sister-in-law Mae Chambers of Browder; grandchildren Sharda Lismon of California, Jordan Reed of Beechmont, Brittany Reed White of Beechmont, and Josalyn Turgeon of Morgantown; great-grandchildren Jaylee Turgeon and Jaxton Turgeon, both of Morgantown; a host of nieces and nephews; and long time family friend, Jolly Jernigan.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 1:00PM at Bethel Baptist Church in Drakesboro, with Rev. Chris Chambers officiating. Burial in West End Cemetery.
