CENTRAL CITY - Sharon Williams Shemwell, 78, of Central City, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mrs. Shemwell was born May 7, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Shemwell.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Gloria) Fuller of Huntsville, AL; daughter Cyndi (Eric) Pettit of Rochester Hills, MI; grandchildren Katelyn Rae Pettit and Sarah Elaine Pettit, both of Rochester Hills, MI; and sister-in-law Margaret Williams of Florida.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Chase Thompson officiating. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday after 10:00AM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
