BEECH CREEK - Thelma Mae Chumley, 95, of Beech Creek, was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Chumley was born June 6, 1923, in Muhlenberg County. She was retired from G.E. as an assembly line worker, and was a member of Drakesboro United Methodist Church. She was also a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Blaine and Delia Arnold; sisters Pearl Dukes and June Arnold; husband Harold Chumley; son Rooter Chumley; son-in-law Paul Mills; grandson Eddie Mills; and great-great-grandson Randy Delk.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patsy Mills of Beech Creek; grandchildren Tammy Amos, Scott Mills (Laurie), Bob (Julie) Mills, and Julie (Mike) Bayless; eight great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great granddaughter; sister Georgia Johnson of Central City; brother Richard Arnold (Helen) of Louisville; daughter-in-law Janet Chumley of Beech Creek; sisters-in-law Doris Byers of Russellville and Patty Chumley of Shepherdsville; special cousin Patricia Bryant; special friends that she called her adopted children, Mack Austin, Ruth Reed, and Richard Brown; several special nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Bro. Junior Deason officiating. Burial in Rochester Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at
