CENTRAL CITY- Virginia Lee Brown peacefully completed her earthly journey and began her glorious heavenly life with Christ on March 6, 2016. She fought valiantly against Alzheimer's that imprisoned her mind and body. She is now in a joyous place, restored in health, and fully redeemed.

Born March 25, 1924 to Henry Franklin and Minnie L. (Piper) Brewer, she was one of six daughters and two sons. Her life was blessed by her sons, grandsons, granddaughter, and great-grandsons. She was devoted to her community as evidenced through her work volunteering and organizing activities for clubs and county and city events.

Virginia worked and retired from General Electric in Owensboro, KY; as well as, being past owner and operator of Frame's Market in Gina's in Central City. She was a longtime member of Central City Business and Professional Women's Club where she was awarded 2004 Business Woman of the Year. She was also a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, William Clyde Brown, Jr.; her son, Ronnie Hardin; Parents, Henry and Minnie Brewer; sisters, Barbara Jean Salee, Ola Mae Sikorski and Aretta Baker; brother, James (Buster) Brewer; and step-son, Terry Brown, Sr.

She is survived by a son, Monty Hardin of Greenville, KY; grandsons, Michael Brent Hardin of Central City and Dustin (Cynthia) Hardin of Houston, TX; granddaughter, Monica Hardin of Kuttawa, KY; four great-grandsons; beloved sisters and brother, Alberta Love, Patsy Pendley, and Tommy Brewer, all from Muhlenberg County; many beloved nephews and nieces; step-sons, Gary (Terri) Brown and Roger (Sharon) Brown; seven step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren and four step great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to graciously acknowledge Martha Schroader, Nevon Webb, Marie Vincent, Helena Bomer, Mary Lou Nelson (deceased), Joy of Western KY. Hospice and Dr. Lewis who with loving care helped Virginia's journey home be one of peace and dignity.

Services will be held at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with visitation beginning Monday, March 7th from 4 to 8 PM and Celebration of life service on Tuesday, March 8th at 11:00 AM with Brothers Adam Brown and Ron Noffsinger officiating with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
