CENTRAL CITY - William Lovell Jr., 84, of Central City, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at 4:13PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. Mr. Lovell was born May 31, 1933, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal belt operator at TVA and member of Martwick Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Janice Merline Lovell; parents William and Luella Lovell; brothers Jesse Lovell and John Lovell; and sister Ann Howard.

He is survived by his son, Derrick (Sharyn) Lovell; daughters Deanna (Eric) McKinney and Tonya (Gary) Beck; grandchildren Meagan Stanley, Kendra Lovell, Sarah Beck, Aaron Beck, Dakota McKinney, Hannah Beck, Montana McKinney, Shena (Steven) DeArmond, Robert (Shannon) Sowders, and Crystal (Michael) Sorrells; great-grandchildren Gavin Stanley, Brayden Stanley, Alicia Stanley, Oakland Knight McKinney, Coby Sowders, Braden Sowders, McKinley Sowders, Madden Sowders, Bronson Sowders, Cameron DeArmond, Tayland DeArmond, Arianna Owens, Chasity Sowders, Anthony Sorrells, Michael Sorrells, and Jordan Sorrells; and numerouis nieces and nephews.
