POWDERLY - Barbara Jean Damron Combs "Grammy" 73, Powderly, KY passed away on Saturday March 16, 2013 at Baptist Healthcare in Madisonville, KY. She was surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was the daughter of the late Ernest and Gladys Potter Damron of Pikeville, KY. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Damron and Ronald Damron. She was a member of Cherry Hill Baptist Church. She was an avid UK basketball fan, but her life was special because of her children and grandchildren. She loved to watch them play sports and enjoyed babysitting them.
Survivors include her two sons, Brenn (Amber) Combs of Frankfort, KY and Mark (Tina) Combs of Central City, KY; two grandchildren, Hunter Braxton Combs
and Taylor Reese Combs of Central City, KY; three grand dogs, Leon, Rudy and Midge; one brother, Dick (Sharon) Damron of Orlando, FL; one sister-in-law, Barbara Sue Damron of Orlando, FL; several nieces and nephews, Jaymi, Jimbo, Kim, Amber Tennae, Nikki, Billie and Noah; host of loving friends, church family and neighbors.
A "Celebration of her life" will be held at Cherry Hill Church on Saturday March 23, 2013 at 11:00 am with Brother Travis Fox officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday starting at 10:00 am at the church. All family and friends are welcome to celebrate Grammy's special day. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Barbara Combs Memorial Fund c/o Tucker Funeral Home 113 North Third Street Central City, KY 42330 or a local charity of your choice.
