CENTRAL CITY - Julian Ray Sears, 84, of Central City, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 1:53AM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Julian was born May 23, 1929 to the late John F. Sears and Lorene Drake Sears in Cleaton. He was a 1947 graduate of Bevier-Cleaton High School. He was a member of Cleaton Baptist Church, and was retired from TV sales and repairs.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Joyce Staples Sears; children Joy Dozer Pendley of Central City and Jeff Sears of Mooresville, IN; grandsons Jason Sears of Mooresville, IN, Miles Dozer of Central City, and Alex Dozer of Central City; brother Dariel Sears of Sacramento; niece Deborah Sears Tate and nephew Mark (Jan) Sears.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
